Not sure but to use the app, you may have to have a paid subscription? I could be remembering that wrong.Ĭheck out. I only tried the app on the iPad once right after it came out and it was not easy to use, but that was a while ago and they may have improved it. It just has too many quirks that make it frustrating to use. I use Sketchup a lot but kind of hate it. PS: Even though I would use it on an iPad, I would probably actually do most work with my iPad plugged into an external monitor with a keyboard and mouse, so actual interaction with the software would be on par with the desktop application. So if any of you are using it I would like to hear what you have to say. I've seen some positive reviews of the app online, but some are sponsored, and I generally like to get more direct feedback on usage from real users. It will also have a subscription fee, but a LOT cheaper than Fusion360. So searching for other options, I've found that Sketchup now has a full version iPad Pro app. I thought I could continue to renew my free version as long as it was for personal use, but wondering if that's coming to an end.

Also, I recently tried downloading Fusion360 on my wife's computer and I get a message that I have already used my free trial and need to pay. I'm hopeful Autodesk will come out with one eventually, especially since the iPad Pro and all new Macs now use the same chip architecture, but I'm about done holding my breath. The only thing holding me back is Fusion360 not having a full dedicated app. I would like to switch to a new iPad Pro because outside of Fusion 360 my computer use is pretty light, and it's more than enough to handle what I need in a very light portable device. But my PC is pretty ancient and not running the software well any longer. I used to be a Sketchup user, but moved over to Fusion360 when I discovered how great parametric modeling is thanks to Bob Clagett and his online course.
